Peter Schumacher-Kohl war eigentlich Bauer, doch hatte er sich mit den Jahren einen Mischbetrieb aus Landwirtschaft, Weinbau und B\u00e4ckerei aufgebaut. Die Weinproduktion diente jedoch vor allem dem Eigenbedarf.<\/p>\n<p>Ab den siebziger Jahren gewann der Weinbau dann immer mehr an Bedeutung. Peter Schumacher-Kohls Sohn, Pierre Schumacher-Lethal, trieb den Flaschenweinverkauf voran und die Landwirtschaft wurde langsam eingestellt. 1974 verlie\u00df die letzte Kuh den Stall und man konzentrierte sich von nun an ausschlie\u00dflich auf die Weinproduktion und den -verkauf.<\/p>\n<p>Ern Schumacher, Enkel des Gr\u00fcnders und Senior im heutigen Betrieb, ist ein Winzer aus Leidenschaft. Er brachte das Weingut dorthin wo es heute ist und trieb dessen Modernisierung voran. Er kaufte Weinberge hinzu und investierte in ein neues Kellerergeb\u00e4ude, moderne Bearbeitungsmaschinen sowie die neueste Kellertechnik.<\/p>\n<p>Sein Sohn, Tom Schumacher, stieg nach Weinbaulehre und Meisterpr\u00fcfung in Trier und Bad Kreuznach im Jahr 2000 in das Familienunternehmen ein. W\u00e4hrend der Vater f\u00fcr die Weinberge zust\u00e4ndig ist, ist der Sohn der Kellermeister. F\u00fcr die beiden Winzer ist Qualit\u00e4t nach wie vor das A und O ihres Bestrebens.<\/p>\n<p>Und auch die Zukunft des Hauses Schumacher-Lethal ist gesichert, steht doch der Nachwuchs und somit die f\u00fcnfte Generation schon in den Startl\u00f6chern.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Weinbau wird in unserer Familie schon seit vier Generationen betrieben.
